The Sukam Online UPS series are online inverters. In online inverters, the inverter supplies to the load in an operational state. That means supply is online and switchover time is zero. That contrasts with regular inverters that run in standby mode until mains failure, when they automatically come on. But some milliseconds break would occur. For certain very sensitive applications, that split-second switchover gap is not acceptable, demanding the use of the online UPS version.
